A brief word from Victor Muller on the Saab 9-5

I received an email from Victor Muller this evening, just as he was about to leave for Detroit and the North American International Auto Show (maybe other things, too).
He had been sifting through comments here and noticed an incorrect train of through in comments to the article I did summarizing
There were some thoughts that because he didn’t specifically mention the new 9-5, maybe he had a plan to operate Saab without the new car.
His comment:
The NG 9-5 is of course in the business plan and without it, the plan would not work. So no way that we would not build the 9-5.
You can now consider yourselves up to date 
The Saab 9-5 has become sort of a modern classic, in that it’s an old car that’s still currently available at your local dealer. Twelve years and several face lifts after its launch, it is outclassed by just about everything else on the market. But now—finally—the second generation has been officially unveiled just prior to the Frankfurt auto show and it will go on sale later this year in Europe. U.S. sales will begin sometime early next month for a 2011 models.
